I know that no one expressed an interest in going to this years President's Winter Retreat (PWR), but I want to reinvite all presidents and presidential hopefuls because PWR is a an amazing event that can really change who you are. Its just one weekend that you'll spend with a hundred+ other Interact members participating in crazy workshops, fun competitions and of course the night hike and dance. Really it's an honor to be asked to go and that our District puts on such fantastic events for you guys is something special! we're here to help and encourage, but we need you guys to participate!

The first half the year went pretty good, we had some snags, but I think we're past them now and it should be smooth sailing from here on out. I sent around a list of ideas for fundraiser and volunteer work, but in case you didn't get it here it is: (any of these could be turned into a district event)

Collecting bottles to recycle

Volunteer at local Boys and Girls Club or community Center

Food Nights (multiple restaurants at the same time can be better)

Just wanted to take a moment to introduce myself to everyone. My name is Jessica and got involved with Interact my sophomore year of high school. Before that I was involved in community work and enjoyed volunteering my time so Interact Club was a great outlet for me. Over the years though I've realized that Interact is so much more than just a club for people who like to volunteer; its a place where we can strengthen our community, make life long bonds, and help out the world through the international project. I love Interact and was so excited to go to RYLA over the summer and meet other kids who loved it as much as I did. Now that I'm Area 10 director I'm here to help you guys do what you want with your Interact Clubs. Feel free to contact me whenever for help or advice on anything. I hope we have a great year and can all get to know each other really well!
